What the tool needs — and how to guess well.

// Monthly budget
The total ad spend you can commit per month, including platform fees. The forecaster handles £500 to £500k+. Don't include agency or tooling costs.
// Avg CPC
Your average cost-per-click blended across keywords or audiences. Pull this from the last 90 days in Google Ads, or use the benchmark slider — defaults sit around £2.20 for B2B services.
// Conversion rate
The share of clicks that become leads (or sales). Most B2B lead-gen pages convert at 2–4%; well-tuned DTC checkouts at 1.5–3%. Slider tooltips show the percentile.
// Target CPA
The most you can pay for a lead or acquisition and still hit your unit economics. Used as a green/amber/red flag against the projected real CAC.
// Channel mix
Which platforms split your spend. Each channel has different median CPC and CVR multipliers — LinkedIn is ~3× more expensive than Google for the same lead, but converts higher-intent traffic.

Applied automatically based on your industry pick. Q4 retail spike, education July dip, B2B lull in August — the 12-month chart bakes these in.

/ 01 Is this just a fancy spreadsheet? +
Honestly, kind of — but it's a spreadsheet with the unit-economics maths already in it, sensible benchmarks loaded, and seasonality baked into the 12-month view. Marketers waste hours rebuilding this in Excel for every pitch. The forecaster is the version I wish I'd had on day one.
/ 02 How accurate are the projections? +
Within ±15% of actual when you feed it real CPC and CVR from your account history. With benchmark defaults it's a directional planning tool — good enough to size a Q3 budget request, not a substitute for actual campaign data after week 4.
/ 03 Where do the benchmarks come from? +
From £12M+ in real campaign spend across the accounts I've managed since 2017 — B2B SaaS, lead-gen, education, fintech and DTC e-commerce in the UK and India. Outliers stripped, medians blended by industry vertical.
/ 04 Does it support Amazon Ads or TikTok? +
Not yet. The current build covers Google Search & Shopping, Meta (FB + IG), Microsoft Bing, and LinkedIn. Amazon Sponsored Ads and TikTok are shipping in v2, alongside CSV import for past 90-day account data.
/ 05 Is my data sent anywhere? +
No. Everything runs client-side — the forecast computes in your browser, scenarios are stored in localStorage, share-links encode state in the URL. Zero analytics on input fields, no server, no account.
/ 06 Can you customise it for my agency? +
